ProCom Powder Coating is a subsidiary of Professional Components Ltd. which has been operating from its current location in Sidney BC since 1974. Professional Components Ltd. manufactures Shockwave shock mitigation seating that is used by top military, enforcement and professionals worldwide and Scoremaster aluminum soccer goals, rugby goals and football goals. Both of these products must withstand extreme exposure to the elements and rough usage. We opened our Powder Coating division in 2008 because we needed a reliable and high quality powder coating source for our products.
Now we offer the same high quality powder coat painting to the Greater Victoria, Saanich Peninsula and Lower Island area.
SandblastingSandblasting provides a great surface for paint to BITE into and is a step that is often overlooked. It can be used to prepare a new surface or strip old paint, corrosion and contaminants from and old surface to provide good adhesion of the powder coat finish.
Hand FinishingHand finishing is used when sandblasting would damage the product or warp the surface. Like sandblasting it provides a better surface for the paint to adhere. Good surface finish is the most overlooked part of painting and yet it is so crucial in providing a quality finish.
Deburring & FinishingPCPC has two deburring and burnishing vibration tanks. Parts are placed in a large tank and vibrating media (like small stones) remove sharp edges and provide a smooth and consistent finish. This finish is a smooth, semi-gloss finish that can be clear coated if the natural color of the material is desired.
Welding, Straightening & RepairOften parts need a little “touch up” before painting we can provide restoration services to parts that need a little TLC. This includes welding of all metals and straightening services.
Chemical & Steam CleaningAll parts are thoroughly washed and degreased with our high pressure steam and chemical degreasing process to ensure 100% paint adhesion.
Professional Components Ltd. was founded by current company president David Smith in 1981. David started his career building NASCAR race cars and his cars won many NASCAR championships and dominated the short tracks on the west coast of Canada and the United States since 1965. Like everything David does he is committed to supplying only the finest Powder Coating to Greater Victoria customers.
